Never had a problem with battery life, other than when GPS is left on.
AF system is excellent, IQ is very good but not quite as good as FF.

This would be a great camera - fantastic speed, brilliant autofocus, but for one thing.....
It eats batteries like a CSC! 10 minutes for a battery to go from fully charged to 80%, and took a couple of hours out doing birds in flight (as you would expect the camera to do) before the battery ran out. The same work on my 70d would have left the battery nearly full still.
So this one is going back, until Canon sort out the problem.
