Canon EOS 1D mark 2 N I use for Weddings and Portraits, with my L lenses 28-70 F2.8 , 17-40 F4 and 70-200 F4, every photos always come out top notch, there is no need more then 8.5 mpixels. I have 30ins x 20ins print and there is a display notices on table for visitor, that I can read very clearly, this shows how sharp is it at this print size. I have alots of portraits, skin tone is top notch.
I dont think I dont need to buy Canon EOS1D Mark 3, however I would be interesting full frame CMOS, improvment in noise more then 1600 ISO, maybe 15 to 20 mpixels model will be the most elminate canon ever made. I dont need hasselblad!!!

OK, Ive got 2 of them and I use them mainly for sports photography.
Ive used the EOS 1D mkIIs and have found the photos to be superior but when Im taking on average 1300 images at 5mb - 8mb in size during an event its far quicker downloading them than files sizes of 15mb - 20mb.
Ive found Canons factory setting to be rather soft on focusing so its best to experiment with the settings a little.
With regards to lens Im rather upset that Canon havent made a 10mm wide angle lens. I use the Sigma 12-24mm DG and although its f4.5-5.6 it actually works very well in close up panning work.
When I affix the Canon 70-200mm f2.5 IS USM the EOS 1D mkII N is simply awesome with a approx 90-95% success rate even on 8.3fps.
I have had the opportunity to attach the Canon and Sigma 300mm f2.8 prime lens and both work extremely well with the "N"
