At first you get what you pay for.
I am having this lens know for nearly 3 years. And it never let me down. Whit this lens you have to follow simple rules. Fast shutter speeds (and when hand hold a good breathing technic). I am loving it to do portraits in the 150-250mm reach of this lens. Do not try to use it above 260-270, This pictures, even on the tripod, getting blurry.
Build quality is ok, I like the look of the pictures.

This lens was on offer when I bought my camera (Canon 60D) and I really dont think it was worth the £99 I paid.
Although light, it has a plastic mount and very plasticky feel. The focus motor has a loud whine and zooming is very stiff - though that may improve with age.
CA is very pronounced with this lens in high contrast areas. Definition is very poor when fully extended.
Obviously no IS at this price (although Canon come close on their EF-S 55-250) and youll need more than 1/2000s as you will need to shut down to f8 to get anything close to usable.
Up-points are that it has very close-up macro ability - 1:2 I think - and it work okays on a tripod (with mirror lockup).
Value Id give 2/5 but Jessops really shouldnt try to sell this with a 60D.
Think Ill try Canons 55-250.
