I have just bought an as new, but used one of thes lenses off Ebay, and taken a few test shots today, & the results are stunning!
This lens has to be as good as it gets.
Instant & almost silent focusing,pin sharp & with amazing colour rendition
Zoom with your left thumb effortlessly,with no increase in lens length
This is a very quick lens to use & it just "works" ( no wonder the paparazzi seem to love them )
The only downside( apart from the price! )is the weight, especially on my 60D with battery grip fitted.
If you can afford one,buy it, you will not be disappointed.
Ebay has some good used ones out there at the right money.
"You Get what You Pay For " rules again.

Great lens! Ive use the 70-200 f2.8 IS mark I version, very soft at f2.8 but this one is excellent. I also used the 70-200 f4 IS very good lens as well even at f4 wide open but it is worth spending more and get another f stop advantage.
