Was originally going to purchase the Canon G12 to sit alongside my Canon DSLR kit, however, opted for the Olympus due to marginally larger sensor, and also the availability of F1.8 which is a bonus for low light shots.
Image quality is very good for a compact camera and the 10mp sensor is just about right for a compact camera.
Just a note, the Olympus software is not particularly good so look for something else to use as a RAW converter.
