Placed an order for a Billingham S3 Camera bag £88.97 reduced from £149 for collection from the store. I waited six days and only to receive an email informing that they tried to contact me and since they couldn’t cancelled my order.
Why couldn’t you contact me? Already have my email address and at the time I placed the order I received emails confirming my order. Also I signed up giving my address.
When I called to enquire a member of staff tells me there was an error in their system and the camera bag isn’t available any longer at park cameras.
I email them back telling them it wasn’t the case of them not been able to contact me and I am still expecting the order but no-one bothered to reply.

I have purchased separately a Sony grip extension and a Sony 24mm f1.4 lens from Park Cameras and on both occasions the items were purchased at the lowest available price in the UK.
Prompt dispatch and excellent customer service.

I would only use Park Cameras again if I would lose out on a VERY good price deal otherwise!! About 2 years ago I was ready to buy a refurbished NIkon D7200 from them when they then dropped the price on a new one until there was almost no difference. I emailed to ask if they would reduce the refurbished one's price somewhat in line with the new one's reduced price but they refused in a fairly curt email. So I bought a new one from my local Jessops store only to find a few weeks later that Park cameras had reduced the price of the refurbished one, which I had made clear to them that I would buy at the right price. Not at all happy that they didn't seem to want to make a sale to me when I was obviously willing yet reduc ed it when it was too late!!

They had the best price for the Gitzo kit I wanted; there was slight confusion over compatibility of other Gitzo parts. This was soon sorted out over the phone. Pleasant people to deal with over the phone, despatch was quick and for a two part order they only took for the part in stock. Sorry to say their carrier in this case, UK Mail, delayed delivery by one day for which they subsequently apologised. I can`t blame Park Cameras for that.

Ordered the Canon 5D Mk 4 on Black Friday. Park was much cheaper than anyone else and the bonus extras, 32GB SD card, Canon battery and a 4TB portable drive were outstanding add ons. A bit of a problem with my card from my end and with no confirmation email I had a bit of a sleepless night which was not made any easier when I rang and the agent couldn't find my order. I was not expecting my order to be dispatched until 30 November, unsurprisingly with such an excellent offer they had to wait for stock. I received a follow up email in the promised 24 hours in response to my update request and another email shortly afterwards informing me that my order had been dispatched. The same day I received a text from the delivery company informing me that my order was to be delivered on Monday 4 December. Which it was. Happy days. Thanks Park.

Bought some Zeiss binoculars, good service and delivered very prompt. They honoured an excellent price, only gripe was their communication was poor to my questions I asked by email. You can trust this company.

I recently purchased a Canon EF lens from Park Cameras. As it was offered in a very good deal, I wasn’t surprised to be informed that there would be a delay due to exhausted stock. Communication could have been a bit better (understandable during what I assume is the busiest time of the year for them) but, once prompted, they came up with the goods. I would be more than happy to use them again.

Ordered EX DISPLAY Leica camera online, they promised it had never left the shop so would only have been used to show to people in the shop. Camera arrived, it was SECOND HAND! Idiot who sent it even included original guarantee signed by the previous owner. Rang, promised to send me new one, returned camera, nothing happened, rang, promised refund rather than new one, nothing happened, rang, no-one had initiated refund, money finally back after 3 months. May be OK if you visit store but under no circumstances order online. Cannot be trusted, either to respond to a complaint or to send you what you ordered.

I ordered a filter and adaptor recently,which on arrival had half the contents missing,and was supplied in a damaged box.I did receive a replacement ,but didnt not get a refund for the costs involved in returning the item.This was despite specifically asking for this,and being told this would not be a problem.Taking into account the costs of my telephone call,postage,and time and effort wasted having to pack and post the item back,I have decided not to use them again.
This might be an isolated incident,but I personally was left unimpressed with the service I received.

Wanted to purchase a Giotto Tripod and a separate head on special offer. Spoke to Park Cameras and they offered a better Giotto option of a tripod including a Tripod head plus ball head for the same price.
Ordering was easy and delivery excellent.

Park Cameras are relatively near for me to get to their Burgess Hill "superstore" so on the basis of always trying to support local businesses , Ive tried three times engage with them.

The first occasion was having decided to make the transition to a DSLR and having spent a lot of time looking at what options were out there it was time to buy. I picked a weekday afternoon ( hopefully not too busy etc) . Staff were polite but totally uninterested and not keen to engage . Having explained what thought I wanted and inquiring what their thoughts were I ended up leaving as it was very obvious very quickly this was not a dealer that was worth attempting to build any form of relationship with .

Having acquired my DSLR from a dealer a lot further away but well worth the drive Ive been back twice on the basis of the stock they advertised as having and a promotion . On both occasions the result was the same - now I dont bother .

If you want and are prepared to accept the "supermarket" shopping experience then maybe these guys will meet your expectations if you think you deserve more look elsewhere.

Beware Park Cameras awful after sales. Returned a Tokina 16.5-135mm lens because it fell off on the left hand side. I still have not got the lens back over 13 weeks later. Not only that, their lack of interest is the worst I have ever come across. I initially spent over £2,200 with them so you would have thought they would care. I bought from them as they were local . Bad mistake. Never again

Bought a 24-70 f/2.8L on a Friday and requested a Saturday delivery, for which I was happy to pay the premium. Salesman was a little chatty and tried to cross sell me a few bits and bobs but I didnt find it overly annoying. Price was excellent and of course, I sourced it using this site :)

I got a phone call late on Friday to say the card payment had not gone through, due to an address mismatch - I think this was a software glitch at their end as I know my own address and its definitely correct :) However, the rep sorted the problem and assured me my lens would ship on time.

Sure enough, it did, and it arrived before 12 pm, as promised. It was well packed, new and unopened and I am very happy with it :)

I ordered a Canon 5D mkII after seeing it on this comparison website. The sales man on the phone was very efficient & it was delivered the next working day, free of charge as promised. They also helped me sort out problems I had with photoshop CS4, even though I didnt buy the software from them. My 5D mkII was also a genuine uk import, sealed in its original box, not an import from the states or hong kong. Id definatley use them again

I placed an order on the 22nd of January with this company for a Sb-600 Nikon flashgun, there asking price was 156.98 including delivery. After following the payment instructions I was issued with an order No and a message saying nil stock, after waiting two weeks for new stock I was sent an Email telling me the item was now going to cost me 209.99 !! a phone call revealed that they would not honour the existing price even though I had been issued with an order No. So buyers beware of this company.

Excellen website with good functionality and its "ease of use" is good. ParkCameras have decent prices and are usually one of the cheaper shops. But I found the customer service, delivery and payment systems to have a lot to be desired. I actually found it to be so bad that I would not use this shop again.

I placed a web order for a Nikon 60mm AFS Micro lens, shortly before the recent price increase. New stock was soon received but after the price increase.
Park Cameras, without being asked, honored the pre-increase. Excellent service.

Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8 Lens

Absolutely fantastic service. This was a mega buy for me but despite being the Christmas period, ordered on the Monday afternoon, arrived mid morning the next day. Well done Park Cameras, certainly would deal with you again especially as Im now looking for a 24-70 f/2.8!

Young guy served me, seems to know what he was talking about but did have some upselling salesmans patter which I dislike, was very pro-nikon lenses for nikon bodies (not a bad thing, but its more expensive kit so I guess hed prefer to sell that stuff anyway). Tried an 18-105VR to replace my failing 18-55 kit lens, but went with a used 18-70 as it was half the price. Good new showroom, lots to try out and reasonable prices (but not the cheapest). Its the second lens I have bought from them, following a Sigma 10-20 earlier in the year, which arrived next day on mail order. Certainly no complaints.

Bought a 40d "body only". Good, quick & free delivery, but it arrived as unbundled kit. Tried in various different ways to persuade me to keep it rather than giving me a refund. Dissapointed that I was not told it was unbundled when I ordered on the telephone. Would be catious about ordering similar items which could arrive unsealed.

Ordered a Tamron 17-50 F2.8 and Hoya Pro1D UV filter on Monday at 2pm. Goods arrived at 10:20 the next day. Superb. The only flaw was the "retaining split-ring" on the filter that holds the glass in place was raised up above the edge of the filter at one end where the split is. I was able to easily pop it back down into place. I`m guessing that`s a hiccup in Hoya quality control. (Box was factory sealed).

Claimed the item was in stock at order time, then phoned me 8 hours later to say it wasnt in stock after all.

Wont be using them again ...

Bought a new Canon 40D from Park a few months ago. Got a keen price with free overnight delivery. Will definitely use again.

Very keen on price with great service, its wonderful to see a shop competing with the internet big guns.... Superb Highly recommended!

Only used it for some smallish items, but service excellent & when they promised to phone back to report an item back in stock, they did.
