Notes On Prices
The new prices above are for genuine UK stock items. I try to include as many shops as I can, but please do your own research. Remember, if you find a much cheaper price it is almost certainly a grey import - so make sure you know
what this means for you, and make an informed choice.
Many of the shops listed above contribute financially to the cost of running Camera Price Buster, thereby keeping it free for you - these shops are indicated with a yellow asterisk, please use them when you can. When you click through to a shop, you may be directed via a third party to enable the shop to indentify that your visit came from here. Some shops pay a commission on these sales. This does not alter the price you pay.
* next to price indicates estimated postage - please check actual cost with shop.
Stock level indications are normally updated about once an hour - so may be slightly out of date.

Product: Nikon AF-S 35mm f1.8 G DX Lens
Turns a DX camera into a fast fixed-50mm-equivalent field of view camera, suitable for lightweight, candid, low-light and general use. In Nikon terms, this is as cheap as chips, but without skimping on quality--this is as sharp and clear as they come, and it focuses quickly.
Optically, theres significant distortion and chromatic aberration, but this can all be easily removed either in-camera or in post-processing, making this a bit of a steal, or a "no-brainer" as somebody else called it. Why havent you already bought one?

Product: Nikon AF-S 35mm f1.8 G DX Lens
No-Brainer choice for any Nikon DX / APS-C SLR user - gives equivalent 52.5mm f1.8 so nice for any low light work. AF-S motor means it works with all current cameras. Nice and sharp from wide open and pleasing out of focus areas. Will even work in FX mode on FX SLRs (disable auto DX crop) with minimal vignetting wide open close-up - vignetting increases markedly the further away you focus and the more you stop down as its a DX lens used in FX mode.

Product: Nikon AF-S 35mm f1.8 G DX Lens
Nikon produces terrific prime lenses at very competitive prices. This is the AF-S f1.8 DX version of the 35mm.
It is a smart little lens and so light and easy to use. It acts as a standard lens for DX cameras and is great for high quality travel photographs.
Weighing only 200gms, this f1.8 lens packs a lot of quality into a tiny package.
High resolution and sharp as a tack from f2.8 to f11. And, it produces nice softly defocused backgrounds at fast apertures.
But remember, this lens is not actually a standard lens. It still retains all the characteristics of a 35mm wideangle lens so extra care is needed to keep the lens parallel to the subject to control perspective.
Currently, it is listed on the Nikon Professional User scheme.
